Trainer Joe Pride is hopeful that his horse Destiny’s Kiss will successfully step up in grade when he runs in his first Black Type race this Saturday.
The four-year-old is set to run in the Listed Winter Cup this weekend, where he will be on trial ahead of the Grafton Carnival.
According to Pride, Destiny’s Kiss is capable of big things despite his small physical size.

A gallant run in the Winter Cup could see Destiny’s Kiss run in the Listed Grafton Cup over 2,350 metres on July 11.
“He is a midget. He is only 427 kilograms but he is a little horse on the way up and he’s going places,” Pride said.
“If he runs well as I expect, the Grafton Cup is a race we will look at.
“He has a really good strike rate for a stayer and I’d like to see how far he can go in the spring.”
Destiny’s Kiss has won seven of his 21 race starts and has earned more than $226,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Destiny’s Kiss is owned by Nick Moraitis, who also owns fellow Winter Cup nominee Fiumicino.
Fiumocino, who is likely to be given top weight for the race, has won seven of his 47 race starts and has earned more than $3 million in prize money during his career.
The Zabeel gelding will go into the Winter Cup on the back of a 10th placing in the Group 2 Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm on June 8.
Prior to that, the nine-year-old won the Listed WJ McKell Cup at Royal Randwick Racecourse last month by an impressive three lengths.
