The Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival’s elite-level action kicks off this Saturday at Morphettville, where a capacity field of fillies will contest the 2026 Australasian Oaks.

All eyes are on the Danny O’Brien-trained Getta Good Feeling, who arrives as the clear market elect to keep her winning streak alive.

The Group 1 $1 million Australasian Oaks (2000m) serves as the primary support act on a high-stakes Robert Sangster Stakes Day, featuring a full 16-horse lineup.

Heading the betting at $2.80 with Ladbrokes is the So You Think filly, Getta Good Feeling.

She is currently in career-best form, chasing a third consecutive victory this preparation.

After taking out the $1 million Inglis Sprint at double-figure odds, she justified her short price last start by lugging 59kg to a dominant win in the Group 3 Alexandra Stakes (1600m).

A winner of the Wakeful Stakes over 2000m in the spring, Getta Good Feeling is already proven over the classic distance.

She has been kept sharp with a successful jump-out at Geelong and looks ideally placed dropping to 56kg from barrier five.

Billy Egan retains the ride as she looks to bolster the impressive record of favourites in this race.

Eight Australasian Oaks favourites have won since 2006 which bodes well for this year’s top fancy Getta Good Feeling!

The main threat to a favourite’s victory is the Ciaron Maher-trained Salty Pearl ($4.40).

Maher, who won this race in 2023 with Affaire A Suivre, saddles up a remarkably consistent grey filly by Tagaloa.

Salty Pearl has been a model of consistency, highlighted by a nearly three-length demolition in the VOBIS Guineas before traveling to Sydney to finish a brave third in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m).

Ben Allen stays in the saddle from a soft draw in gate three.

Two other fillies, both potential SA Derby contenders, sit under double figures: local hope Mating Call ($7.50) and the Chris Waller-trained Panova ($8).

Mating Call is out to complete the Auraria Stakes / Australasian Oaks double for the first time since Sopressa in 2018!

Mating Call, a daughter of Brazen Beau, enters the race full of confidence after a half-length victory in the Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m).

Jamie Melham will be aboard as the filly looks to emulate Sopressa (2018) by completing the Auraria Stakes / Australasian Oaks double.

Her spring form, which includes a placing behind Getta Good Feeling in the Edward Manifold and a top-five finish in the Thousand Guineas, suggests she is right at home in this company.

Meanwhile, James McDonald makes the trip to partner Waller’s Panova.

Despite an awkward draw in gate 15, the Trapeze Artist filly is a Group 3 winner at Flemington and will be looking to bounce back to her best form following a seventh-place finish in the Vinery Stud Stakes.

The 2026 Australasian Oaks is scheduled as Morphettville Race 7 at 4:12pm (ACST) / 4:42pm (AEST).
