Melbourne premiership winning trainer Peter Moody is looking for his second Cup win in a week with Full Of Spirit in the Listed $175,000 Channel 7 Ipswich Cup (2150m) at Ipswich on Saturday.

Moody won the last race on Stradbroke Handicap Day at Eagle Farm last Saturday when Floria, with Kerrin McEvoy, held off the Chris Waller trained Moriarty to win the Group 2 $300,000 Croser Brisbane Cup (2400m).
Floria’s Brisbane Cup win has earned her retirement with Moody saying that there is not much more the mare can achieve.
“There is not much left for her to do and the win on Saturday was a great way to finish,” Moody said.
Full Of Spirit will carry the equal top weight of 58kgs with the Gerald Ryan trained Ironstein and will need plenty of luck after coming up with barrier fourteen in the capacity sixteen horse Ipswich Cup field.
The Flying Spur mare did the bulk of her early racing in New Zealand but has been under the care of Moody this preparation.
From four starts for Moody, Full Of Spirit was out of the placings when ninth to Cosmic Endeavour in the Group 2 $300,000 Drummond Golf Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on April 19 and sixth to Leebaz in the Group 3 $150,000 Panthers Hawkesbury Gold Cup (1600m) at Hawkesbury May 3.
Full Of Spirit is on the improve and was beaten a length when second to Cameo in the Listed $200,000 Emirates Park Scone Cup (1600m) at Scone on May 16 and then third to Transonic in the $85,000 Eremein Handicap (1800m) at Rosehill on May 31.
Warhorse Ironstein will jump from gate six with Jason Taylor to ride while Brave Ali from the in-form Tony Gollan stable has drawn alongside at seven.
Brave Ali has put himself into Ipswich Cup contention with a win in the Listed $80,000 50 Years Of Ramsay Health Care JRA Tails Stakes (2128m) at Eagle Farm on April 26 followed by a third behind Pretty Pins and Danchai in the Group 3 $125,000 Landfill Logistics Chairman’s Handicap (2000m) at Doomben on May 10.
The Michael Moroney trainer Garud will be trying to pick up some late Winter Carnival prizemoney with Michael Cahill to ride from gate thirteen.
Garud will be making is first 2014 Winter Carnival appearance after finishing third at his last two starts at Flemington over 1800m on May 10 and over 2000m on May 24.
