Promising filly Bring A Ring is set to return to racing in the third head of the 2014 Creswick Series at Flemington on Saturday.

Bring A Ring was included in the acceptances for both the Creswick Series at Flemington and the Galvanising Handicap at Morphettville on Saturday, but trainer Tony McEvoy has revealed that he is keen to run the Sebring filly in Melbourne.
Bring A Ring has not been seen at the races since she failed to beat home a single runner in the $1 Magic Millions Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 11, but McEvoy told Racing Ahead this morning that he is happy with the condition of the three-year-old ahead of her first-up assignment in the Creswick Series this weekend.
“I want to come to Melbourne and I think that she has come back really well this filly,” McEvoy said.
“The race looks not too strong for mine and when you see that she has sixty kilos that sort of tells me that it is not overly strong.
“I will accept for both races and I will look at both races, but my leaning is for Melbourne.”
McEvoy is set to two runners in Melbourne this weekend; with Sasenkile included in the acceptances for the Rod Johnson Handicap over 2000 metres at Flemington on Saturday.
Sasenkile broke through for just the second win of his career in the Benchmark 86 Handicap (1950m) at Morphettville on May 17 and will face a much tougher field this weekend, but McEvoy believes that the Sharkbite gelding has the talented to carry the top weight of 60 kilograms to victory in the $80,000 race.
“He is a promising young fellow and he is still working it out,” McEvoy said.
“The penny is still dropping for him, but it fell into place last start for him in Adelaide against the older horses.
“They may not be great shakes what he beat, but he beat them really comfortably and the horse that ran second came out and won impressively last weekend.
“He is back to three-year-old grade and it is a big rise in weight, but that tells me that the race lacks a bit of depth.”
Bring A Ring will be returning to Flemington for the first time since she finished fourth in the Listed Lexus Hybrid Plate (1400m) during the 2013 Spring Racing Carnival, while Sasenkile will be appearing at the famous venue for the second time in his career after failing to beat home a single runner in the Listed Connoisseur Stakes (1800m) last spring.
