Morphettville Parks

Morphettville Parks Racecourse is located in South Australia and is conveniently positioned just ten minutes outside the city of Adelaide. The track is operated by the South Australian Jockey Club and has been built inside the pre-existing Morphettville Racecourse to allow for an alternative track surface.

Morphettville Parks Racecourse had its first meeting on June 17, 2009 and has since been used predominantly for midweek meetings. The track replaced Victoria Park Racecourse and Cheltenham Racecourse as an alternative racing location for Adelaide race days.

Morphettville Parks Racecourse has a maximum field capacity of 14 runners and can hold races that range in distance from 1,000 metres to 2,400 metres long. Hurdle and steeple races can also be run at the track over a distance of both 3,000 metres and 3,350 metres.

The racecourse has a circumference of 2,100 metres and a final straight that is 320 metres long.

Morphettville Racecourse and Morphettville Parks Racecourse together host around 70 meeting in total each year.
