A number of promising three-year-olds are set to make their black type racing debut at Royal Randwick on Saturday after being included in the field for the Listed The Rosebud (1200m).

Inkling has been included in The Rosebud acceptances, but trainer Peter Snowden revealed this morning that the talented colt was no certainty to contest the $100,000 event after he was allocated 59 kilograms by Racing New South Wales handicappers.
Snowden told TVN that he was unhappy with the weight and indicated that the Duporth colt could be saved for the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens next Saturday.
Leading Sydney trainer Gai Waterhouse is set to have two runners in The Rosebud after she included Nayeli and Echo Prince in the acceptances for the Listed race.
Nayeli stamped herself as a filly to watch with wins in the ATC Membership On Sale Maiden (1000m) at Randwick on January and the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on February 1 and has recorded two barrier trial victories ahead of the start of his 2014 Spring Racing Carnival campaign.
Echo Prince made his racing debut with a narrow win at Hawkesbury on July 20, but Waterhouse clearly has a high opinion of the Casino Prince colt and has included him in the nominations for both the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) and Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m).
Another three-year-old that will be making just his second appearance at the races in The Rosebud is Peter Moody-trained Better Land.
Better Land made his racing debut in the Turnbull Plumbing Plate (1100m) at Sale on April 6 and was sent for a stint in the spelling paddock in Brisbane before winning a barrier trial over 1000 metres at Doomben on July 22.
David Payne-trained Bold Circle has not been seen at the races since he scored a narrow win over Sheer Style and Unencumbered in the Men Of League Plate (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on October 26, but impressed onlookers with a strong exhibition gallop between races at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.
Bold Circle worked alongside stablemate Criterion and the Bernardini colt was able to hold his own with the Australian Derby winner and ran the final 600 metres in less than 34 seconds.
Godolphin colt Sarajevo is another colt that has impressed in his recent public appearances and the son of Lonhro scored an impressive barrier trial victory over the lines of Villa Verde, Boban and Gypsy Diamond last Friday.
Sarajevo has been set for the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on September 13 and trainer John O’Shea has booked leading Sydney hoop James McDonald to partner the three-year-old on Saturday.
Rounding out the 2014 The Rosebud field is last start winner Scissor Kick and Chris Waller-trained Hero I Am.
