Broome Racecourse is located at Gantheaume Point on Broome’s picturesque coastline. Racing at Broome Racecourse takes place during its eleven week long racing season that runs annually from June to August. This racing season culminates in the Broome Cup Carnival, which includes both Broome Cup Day and Ladies Day each year.
Other feature races and race days that take place at Broome racecourse each year include the $40,000 Kimberley Cup, Gentleman’s Day and Broome Turf Club Family Day.
Broome Racecourse is operated by the Broome Turf Club, which is one of the most progressive turf clubs in the country. Broome Racecourse is home to thoroughbred flat racing, which is conducted on the course’s firm dirt track.
Broome Racecourse has recently renovated and extended the member’s grand stand and includes a variety of facilities such as a fully shaded grassed public area, large public bars, full TAB facilities and a wide range of live bands and entertainment.
