High profile jockey Kerrin McEvoy can see Miss Fabulass getting a cosy run against the fillies from barrier three in the final thirteen horse Flight Stakes field.

“She is just going to put herself in the right spot from the gate and she has a great turn of foot, as we saw in the Tea Rose,” McEvoy told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Miss Fabulass has created a huge impression from four race starts with two wins and a second, her latest outing producing an emphatic win for McEvoy in the Group 2 $200,000 Darley Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 15.

The Chris Waller trained Fiesta was runner to Miss Fabulass in the Tea Rose Stakes and the two fillies will be clashing again in the Flight Stakes.

Fiesta has drawn barrier six with regular rider Hugh Bowman in the saddle again.

The Tony McEvoy trained Oohood is set to lead the Flight Stakes field out but the I Am Invincible filly is still looking for her first visit to the winner’s stall even though she has earned over $1 million in prizemoney thanks to her three Group 1 placings during her two year old season.

Oohood finished third in the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield during the 2018 Melbourne Autumn Carnival and then was runner up twice during the Sydney Autumn Carnival in the Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill and in the Group 1 $1m Inglis Sires’ (1400m) at Randwick.

Tim Clark will stick with Oohood who has drawn awkwardly at barrier eleven while Luke Currie will partner Tony McEvoy’s second runner Aristocratic Miss who will jump from gate two.

Queensland filly Baccarat Baby is the winner of her last five starts at Doomben and the Sunshine Coast and has drawn barrier eight with her usual partner Micheal Hellyer in the saddle.

Miss Fabulass is the prominent favourite for the Flight Stakes at $2.05 with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Pretty In Pink at $6.50 and Fiesta at $8.
