Winx equalled the long standing record of Kingston Town when she won her third Group 1 $3m Ladbrokes Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley on October 28.

Trainer Chris Waller said that Winx will be prepared for the 2018 Sydney Autumn Carnival with the option of travelling to England to compete at Royal Ascot in June.

“It’s time now to have a break,” Waller said.

“It’s a quick turnaround to the autumn. She’s got to be back in work in early December and we don’t take risks with her.”

Winx’s third Cox Plate victory took her overall wins tally to twenty-six, her last twenty-two without loss and lifted her prizemoney earnings to $15,627,925.
