The Tattersall’s Racing Club received thirty-three nominations for the last Group 1 race of the 2018 – 2019 Racing season which is restricted to the fillies and mares.

A win by one of Waller’s mares will give the trainer eighteen Group 1 wins for the season and send him past champion trainer Tommy Smith who had held the record of seventeen Group 1 wins since last century.

“We have a strong team coming from several difference form angles,” Waller told The Sydney Morning Herald.

“It is a tough race to win though.”

Waller has nominated Eckstein, Egg Tart, Invincibella, Noire and Prompt Response.

Invincibella, Prompt Response and Noire could clash again after finishing first, third and fourth in the Group 2 $200,000 Pages Event Hire Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 8.

Eckstein has won a 1000m Gold Coast barrier trial since finishing third to Savatiano in the Group 3 $150,000 Grinders Coffee Roasters Stakes (1300m) at Eagle Farm on May 25 while Egg Tart hasn’t started since finishing eighth to Avilius in the Group 1 $700,000 Ranvet Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on March 23 during the 2019 Sydney Autumn Carnival.

Four year old mare Savatiano heads up James Cummings three Tattersall’s Tiara nominations which also include the two fillies Multaja and Pohutukawa.
