Amovatio has been backed into 2015 Magic Millions Stayers Cup odds of $4 and is set to start the race at the Gold Coast tomorrow as a clear favourite.

Amovatio has not had a significant break in the spelling paddock since he recorded a comfortable win in the McGrath Estate Agents Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on May 31, but continues to race consistently.
The Al Maher gelding took out the Eric Kime Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on June 14 and after five straight narrow defeats returned to winning form with a narrow victory over Mr One Eleven in the Time To Shop Handicap (1600m) at Royal Randwick on November 8.
Amovatio recorded close seconds in the Irresistible Pools & Spas Handicap (1350m) at Rosehill Gardens on November 29 and the HQ Of Insurance Handicap (1400m) at the same venue on December 6 before he defeated a talented field that included Scream Machine, Black Jag and Monton in the December Handicap (1550m) at Canterbury on December 27.
The four-year-old has the second highest handicap rating in the 2015 Magic Millions Stayers Cup, but will only carry two and a half kilograms over the minimum and trainer Chris Waller believes that the consistent gelding gets into the race very well in the weights.
“I think that he is well weighted with Tinto in there,” Waller said.
“She has compressed the weights and I think there is only a couple above the minimum weight, so that suits us.
“Tinto will be the one to beat, but she has drawn wide and we have got a good gate in barrier one with Damien Oliver aboard.
“It was a great win last start.”
Tinto won the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m) during the 2014 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival and has performed well in three race starts since returning to the races, but is currently on the second line of 2015 Magic Millions Stayers Cup betting markets at a quote of $5.50.
The Red Dazzler mare ran home strongly to finish in the placings in both the Listed Travel Associates Classic (1200m) at Doomben on November 29 and the Listed Just Now Quality (1350m) at the same venue on December 13 before she returned to winning form with a tough effort in the Listed Bernborough Quality (1625m) at Toowoomba on December 31.
Tinto will carry the top weight of 59 kilograms, but will appreciate the step-up in trip and previously won over this track and distance in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m) last year.
Our Boy Nicholas ($5.50), Off The Rails ($6) and Danas Best ($7) are the only other horses available at single figure 2015 Magic Millions Stayers Cup odds.
