The juvenile triple crown continues at Royal Randwick this Saturday, with betting markets for the 2026 Inglis Sires’ spearheaded by Clinton McDonald’s elite Blue Diamond-winning filly, Streisand.

Sydney’s autumn carnival reaches its peak this weekend with four Group 1 features headlining Day 1 of The Championships, including the $1 million Inglis Sires’ (1400m).

Leading the charge in the latest Inglis Sires’ betting markets at $3.40 is the daughter of Magnus, who has continued to firm through Ladbrokes after drawing ideally in barrier five for jockey Ben Melham.

Having already secured the Blue Diamond Prelude/Group 1 Blue Diamond double in Melbourne, Streisand was last seen making her Sydney debut at Rosehill.

She was far from disgraced in the $5 million Golden Slipper, finishing a gallant second behind Guest House.

Now that she has handled the clockwise way of racing, she is expected to thrive with the step up to the seven-furlong trip at Randwick.

Streisand is tipped to become the first 2YO to complete the Blue Diamond Stakes / Inglis Sires’ double since Pride Of Dubai in 2015!

History is within reach for the filly, as she attempts to become the first youngster since Pride Of Dubai (2015) to successfully complete the interstate Blue Diamond / ATC Sires’ double.

The primary threat to the favourite, and the only other runner currently under double figures at $4, is the Chris Waller-trained Campione D’italia.

The progressive Snitzel colt caused a massive $41 upset when breaking his maiden in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) at this track two starts back.

He proved that win was no fluke in the Golden Slipper, producing the run of the race to finish fourth after coming from last on the turn.

Stepping up in distance appears perfect for him as Waller chases his second win in the race following Militarize (2023).

Campione D’italia is drawn to get the gun run in barrier three and gains the services of champion hoop James McDonald.

Waller also saddles up Fireball ($20), the Inglis Millennium winner who will need to overcome gate 12 to improve on his seventh in the Slipper.

Outside of the top two in betting meanwhile, the Bjorn Baker-trained Paradoxium ($11) is the next best fancied, though he must contend with the outside fence in barrier 14.

No winner of this race has come from wider than gate 13 since the turn of the century.

The Extreme Choice colt was in brilliant form earlier this prep, highlighted by his Group 2 Todman Stakes win, but a wide alley saw him fade to 11th in the Slipper after attempting to lead throughout.

Other juveniles being kept safe by the bookies include the Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Zambales ($12), the consistent Waterhouse/Bott filly Miss Chanel ($12), and the rails-drawn Tornado Valley ($15) for Ciaron Maher who returns to the races for the second time since his runner-up finish in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January.

The 2026 Inglis Sires’ is scheduled as Randwick Race 6 at 3:20 pm (AEDT), serving as the opening Group 1 on Saturday’s 10-race program.
