The riding tactics of some of the key runners owned by Lloyd Williamsat Flemington today have been made public.

Green Moon, the Group 3 $250,000 Lexus (2500m) favourite, will be ridden forward.

It is make or break day for the European import as he need to win the race to gain a start in the 2011 Melbourne Cup run on Tuesday.

Williams has three runners in the Group 1 $1m Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) at Flemington are Efficient, Mourayan and Midas Touch.

Midas Touch is expected to be ridden off the pace by Nick Hall and Efficient from his wide draw will be closer to the tail in the run.

Mourayan could easily be the Mackinnon leader.

While Efficient is not entered in this year’s Melbourne Cup, both Mourayan and Midas Touch are already safely in the field not needing to win the Mackinnon.

Efficient will go on to the Zipping Classic (2400m) at Sandown on November 12.

Later in the day the rider for Guiseppina in the Myer Classic (1600m) is Joao Moreira.
