Redouble was the second leg of a winning double for trainer Bjorn Baker and the stable followers backed the five year old in from $8.50 to start as the third favourite at $6.

Top Melbourne jockey Craig Williams took care of the rest and gave Redouble a lovely run behind the speed from barrier one and produced the gelding at the right time to put the result beyond doubt.

The Chris Waller trained Sambro ($8.50) ran on for second with Shogun Sun ($17) filling third spot.

In a wide open betting race, the $5 favourite Arbeitsam wound up in fifth position while the second pick Cadogan ($5.50) was one better in fourth position.

The win of Redouble wrapped up a great day for the Baker stable after they took out the 1m It’s Live! In Qld Magic Millions Snippets (1200m) with Egyptian Symbol.

“He has been a great horse and it worked out great,” Baker said.

“He has been a good horse and I was so lucky I got a ready made horse.”

“He was a Group performer before I got him. Its been a great day.”
