Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast Racecourse is located at Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, which is about 50 minutes north of Brisbane. Operated by the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, Sunshine Coast Racecourse is home to some of the best training and racing facilities in the country.

There are three different tracks located at Sunshine Coast Racecourse. The first is a grass training track, the second is the cushion track and the third is the grass track proper.  The cushion track was built in 2008 and has a track circumference of 1760 metres and a final straight that is 400 metres long. Sunshine Coast Racecourse’s grass track has a circumference of 1,976 metres and a final straight which is also 400 metres.

Races are held at Sunshine Coast Racecourse every Sunday, while racing is conducted every Saturday night on the cushion track from February until July. Racing also takes places at the track on some Friday evenings.

Sunshine Coast Racecourse’s biggest races include the Caloundra Cup, Sunshine Coast Cup and Ladies Oaks Day.

The Sunshine Coast Racecourse is also the perfect location for conferences, weddings and other top class events.
