Lismore Racecourse is located in the suburb of Lismore in New South Wales. Operated by the Lismore Turf Club, it is home to a large number of race days throughout the year. Horse racing at Lismore began as early as 1874, however, the first official meeting was recorded in the 1885/1886 edition of the Australasian Turf Register.
The biggest day of the year at Lismore Racecourse comes during the Lismore Turf Club’s Spring Racing Carnival when the XXXX Gold Lismore Cup is held in September each year.
While Lismore Racecourse is well-known for being home to some of the highest quality racing in regional New South Wales, it is also one of the state’s best entertainment venues.
The course has a track circumference of 2,100 metres and has a total of two chutes.
Lismore Racecourse is equipped to hold functions such as conferences, meetings, weddings and receptions.
