Bring Me The Maid has returned to light trackwork to begin preparations for the 2014 Spring Racing Carnival, but trainer Peter Moody is yet to decide which races he will target with the talented filly.

Bring Me The Maid was sent straight to the spelling paddock after her fast-finishing third behind Mossfun and Earthquake in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on April 5, but has returned to light training and will begin galloping work next week.
Moody told AAP that he is confident that Bring Me The Maid will be able to run out a strong mile during her spring campaign, but is unsure the path that she will follow during her preparation; with the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on September 13, Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick and Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 11 all on the agenda for the daughter of Sebring.
“She’s coming along well but she’s got another week of evens before she starts having a gallop,” Moody said.
“What path I go with her I’m not sure.
There’s the fillies’ series in Sydney, the Golden Rose or the Melbourne series.
“I think she’ll become a really strong miler next season.”
Bring Me The Maid made her racing debut with a narrow victory over Husson Eagle and More Radiant in the Listed Sports 1000 (1000m) at Flemington on March 1 and had no luck when beaten as favourite in the Listed Chandler Macleod St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on March 14.
The rising three-year-old scored an emotional victory in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 29 to earn himself a start in the Golden Slipper and made up plenty of ground late when third in Australia’s most lucrative two-year-old race.
Moody has won plenty of the biggest races on the Australian racing calendar, but he is yet to taste success in the Golden Rose, Flight Stakes and Thousand Guineas.
Dissident finished second behind Zoustar in the 2013 edition of the Golden Rose for the leading Melbourne trainer, while he finished second in the Flight Stakes with Sensibility in 2013 and Hallowell Belle in 2011.
Bring Me The Maid ($8) is currently on the third line of the 2014 Thousand Guineas betting market at Ladbrokes Australia; with Earthquake ($5.50) a narrow favourite from Go Indy Go ($6.50).
