Winner of the 2013 edition of the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), trainers Peter and Paul Snowden have been thrilled with the form and class displayed by talented mare Miracles Of Life and are confident of a successful performance in Thursday’s Group 3 G.H. Mumm Stakes (1100m).
Securing a commendable record of six wins and a further three minor places from her 13 competitive appearances on course so far, Miracles Of Life began her racing career under the guidance of South Australian trainer Daniel Clarken before being sold at the conclusion of her autumn preparation this year and arriving in the care of the Snowdens.
Finishing in a dead heat for first with Group 1 winner Bel Sprinter in the Group 2 Caulfield Sprint (1100m) first-up on October 18th, Paul Snowden said the team is confident of a successful second-up performance from the Not A Single Doubt filly amongst classy competition tomorrow.
“I really like the way she has bounced back from that (first-up performance),” Snowden told TVN.
“She had a very good grounding going into that race though.
“When we bought her at the Gold Coast she was pretty-much spent, so we gave her a long spell, as long as she wanted, then we gave her a long, slow prep with a couple of good trials and she went into the Caulfield race pretty fit having done a lot of work.
“It’s a good field but she has the quality and the ability to be highly competitive again.”
Stamping her claims as a serious racing contender from her maiden campaign, Miracles Of Life won two minors over 1000m and 1050m respectively in South Australian before travelling to Melbourne for victories in the Listed Blue Diamond Preview (1000m) and featured Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m).
Returning this year in similarly strong form, the mare out of Dazzling Gazelle finished second in both the Listed Manihi Classic (1050m) and Listed Redelva Open (1050m) before returning to the winner’s circle in the Group 2 Sportingbet Stakes (1200m) most notably on May 3rd.
The 2014 G.H. Mumm Stakes will jump Race 6 at Flemington Racecourse on Thursday.
