Dual Group 1 winning filly Global Glamour will be heading to the Gold Coast in January to run in the $2m Magic Millions 3yo Guineas (1400m).

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Global Glamour was sent for a break after winning back to back Group 1 races with her victory in the $500,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 8 with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle.
At her previous start a week earlier the Star Witness filly led all of the way form Tim Clark to win the Group 1 $500,000 Sydney Airport Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
Bott has reported that Global Glmaour is back in work and coming along nicely heading towards her Summer campaign.
“She’s back in and just taking it easy heading towards a Magic Millions preparation,” Bott told AAP.
“The plan with her after the Thousand Guineas was to give her a short let-up and bring her back and target her towards the Magic Millions three year old race in January.”
The lightly raced Global Glamour was a six and a quarter lengths winner on debut in a Kembla Grange two year old maiden in January and Bott sad that she was shaping up as one of the stables’ major chances for the Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill in March.
That plan never eventuated but Global Glamour benefited from a spell and came back in the Spring to be the dominant three year old filly and will be one of the main players in the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas.
“She is an absolute star and I think she is obviously going to be a special filly,” Bott said.
“We thought that early from a very young age. We saw it on debut she won brilliantly by six lengths and we thought that she was going to be one of our favourites going into the slipper but that didn’t work but she had come back in such good order.”
Global Glamour’s first run back in the Spring saw her run third to Foxplay in the Group 2 $175,000 Fitzy & Wippa’s Fast & Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on September 3 and she followed that up with a sixth to Foxplay again in the Group 2 $175,000 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 17 before winning the Flight Stakes.
Global Glamour is a winner of three of her five race starts and has earned a total of $648,500 in prizemoney.
