It Will Be Easy Running For Forster At Magic Millions

Trainer Desleigh Forster believes that her three-year-old gelding Easy Running is in with a big chance for tomorrow’s Magic Millions 3YO Guineas after drawing an inside gate.

Easy Running is expected to jump from barrier three after emergencies are scratched from the field, giving him the opportunity to perform at his best.

The Easy Rocking gelding’s three starts this preparation have all been from outside barriers, with his second place in the Listed Hanachi Gold Edition Plate being from barrier 17.

Despite passing the post first, Easy Running lost the race on protest to Biggles, who he will again face in tomorrow’s $1 million race.

“He’s probably been a victim of circumstances, he hasn’t drawn a barrier in the last five runs,” Forster said.

While Easy Running has only won over 1,200 metres in the past, his trainer has no doubt he will be suited to tomorrow’s 1,400 metre race.

“He’s pretty laid back. He’ll get a cushy run on Saturday,” Forster said.

“I have no queries (and) I think he’ll run a mile eventually.

“He’s got a very explosive turn of foot.”

Easy Running will be ridden in the race by jockey Damien Browne, who has won twice aboard the horse.

“Damien knows him pretty well,” Forster said.

While Forster concentrates on notching up her biggest career win with Easy Running in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, stable star Adebisi is currently being spelled in preparation for the Brisbane winter carnival.

Adebisi finished ninth last start in the Listed Goldmarket Quality Handicap earlier this month after sustaining a leg injury during the race.

“When he came back to the mounting yard he had a nasty gash on the leg,” Forster said.

“He’s out in the paddock now and he’s fine.

“He’ll probably get ready for the winter carnival.”

Adebisi gave Forster the biggest thrill of her career when winning the Group 3 George Moore Stakes at Doomben last month.
