The 2016 Magic Millions Sprint field has been released and leading Queensland trainer Tony Gollan has included Temple Of Boom, Didntcostalot and The Storeman in the acceptances for the $1 million race that will be held at the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Temple Of Boom has not raced at the Magic Millions meeting since he took out the 2011 edition of the Magic Millions Sprint, but he is back for another crack at the race in what could be his final race start.
The Piccolo gelding showed that he still had some racing left in him when he finished third in the Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on August 8, but he failed to fire in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 29 and he was not particularly impressive in the Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on November 28 or the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes (1350m) at the same venue on December 12.
Didntcostalot is one of the few horses that is set to take winning form into the Magic Millions Sprint and he has been freshened up for the race following his dominant victory in the George Moore Stakes.
There is set to be plenty of speed in the 2016 Magic Millions Sprint, but Tegan Harrison will likely look to cross the field on Didntcostalot in the early stages.
Rounding out the Gollan trio in the Magic Millions Sprint field is short-course specialist The Storeman, who returned to the races with a eighth place finish in the Bat Out Of Hell (900m) at the Gold Coast on Boxing Day.
One of the most interesting horses in the Magic Millions Sprint is lightly raced King’s Troop, who will have just his fifth race start in the feature sprint this weekend.
King’s Troop stamped himself as a horse to follow when he scored a dominant seven lengths victory in a barrier trial at Rosehill Gardens on July 7 last year and he finished second behind Japonisme on debut in the Bob Ingham Handicap (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on July 18 as well as in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at the same venue on August 15.
The Redoute’s Choice colt was slightly disappointing when he returned to the races with a fourth place finish in the ATC Farewells A Thomas Handicap (1000m) at Royal Randwick on Boxing Day, but trainer Gerald Ryan is hopeful that he can bounce back this weekend.
Rocky King, Adebisi, Wild Rain, Weinholt, Straturbo, Husson Eagle and Le Cordon Bleu round out the 2016 Magic Millions Sprint field, while Liberation is the first emergency.
