Sydney jockey Glyn Schofield will ride high profile Melbourne two year old Extreme Choice in the $500,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Caulfield trainer Mick Price has brought Extreme Choice north to Sydney to chase the huge prizemoney on offer for the Inglis Sales graduates and the Not A Single Doubt colt is certain to start as one the favourites.
Extreme Choice was a $100,000 yearling buy from the 2015 Classic Yearling Summer Book Sales held at Newmarket in Sydney in February.
Price has given Extreme Choice two jump outs at Caulfield with the colt easily winning his heat last Tuesday, but was required to run in an official trial in Sydney before being allowed to start at Randwick.
“New South Wales rules, for some stupid reason, that first starters cannot race in Sydney without trialling,” Price told AAP.
“He’s had two trials here in Melbourne so it does put me under a bit more pressure.
“I’ll have to give him a soft trial and hope for the best.
“It’s a bit of an ask to trial Tuesday, float to Sydney, trial again and then race.”
“We’ll give him the chance up there because it’s very good prize money.”
Schofield was aboard Extreme Choice when he won a 900m trial at Rosehill today and Price tweeted that he was happy with the result.
“Nice trial by Extreme Choice in Sydney today. We will now aim him Inglis Sales 2yo Nursery on Saturday at Randwick G Schofield to ride,” Price tweeted.
Twenty-four two year olds have been nominated for the Inglis Nursery and Price will now be sweating on gaining a run with only fourteen youngsters allowed to make up the final field.
Twelve of the nominated two year old have raced with four already finding the winner’s stall.
The Liam Birchely trained Boom Shucka made a huge impression with his five and a quarter lengths win over 1050m at Doomben on November 7 but was beaten into fourth spot behind Magic Millions bound Zelady’s Night Out over the same course and distance a fortnight later.
Tony McEvoy’s Not A Single Doubt youngster Jackson scored on debut in the Listed $120,000 Santa’s Magical Kingdom Stakes (1000m) at Sandown on November 14 while Motime is a Canberra two year old Maiden winner over 1000m on November 27.
Lindsay Park trainers David Hayes and Tom Dabernig has entered Rampage for the Inglis Nursery after the All American colt scored on debut in a 1000m Moonee Valley two year old Stakes on November 28.
The Lindsay Park team has also entered first starter Sebrikka, a filly by Sebring out of Sinikka in the Inglis Nursery on Villiers Stakes Day.
