Chris Waller’s smart filly From Within has been included in the final field for the $2m Jeep Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on Saturday but a decision on if she runs will be made on Tuesday morning.
Chris Waller Racing released a statement on twitter saying the that From Within would have her final gallop at Rosehill on Tuesday morning and then a decision would be made if the Not A Single Doubt filly would make the trip to the Gold Coast.
“She may have another gallop on Tuesday morning but at this stage we are confident that she will race in the Magic Millions,” the statement said.
Hugh Bowman will take over from Glyn Schofield who rode From Within to an impressive debut win in an 1100m 2yo Plate at Canterbury on December 31 and the leading Group 1 rider has been aboard the filly in plenty of trackwork sessions including a solid hit out on Saturday morning.
“She will be ridden by Hugh Bowman in the Magic Millions who was suspended during her race debut,” Waller’s foreman Charlie Duckworth said in a statement on twitter.
Duckworth said that Bowman was happy with the hit out and From Within will have her final Magic Millions lead up gallop on Tuesday morning before being declared a certain starter.
“She was asked to improve from the 400m mark and quickened stylishly pleasing Hugh Bowman. Hugh was happy with how she felt and her turn of foot,” the statement read on twitter.
