The Lindsay Park trained filly Formality is set to continue her Sydney Spring Carnival campaign in the Group 2 $200,000 Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Formality is one of thirteen fillies nominated for the Furious Stakes and is coming off a first up win in the Group 2 $200,000 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 19.
The Fastnet Rock filly showed plenty of natural ability during her two year old season with a third to stablemate Catchy in the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield during the 2017 Melbourne Autumn Carnival and has continue that good form into the Spring.
The Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig are aiming Formality towards the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on September 23.
“The main plan at the moment is the Golden Rose,” co-trainer Ben Hayes said.
“She has always been a big strong filly and I think that she has just matured.”
The James Cummings trained Alizee and Bjorn Baker’s smart filly Champagne Cuddles finished second and third behind Formality in the Silver Shadow Stakes and are also among the nominations for the Furious Stakes.
Cummings has also nominated the unbeaten Regimen for the Furious Stakes but the Sepoy filly is also listed in the field for the 1200m BenchMark 76 Handicap for the fillies and mares at Canterbury on Wednesday.
