The odds for Flamboyant Lass have taken a tumble in the betting for the Group 1 $500,000 Coolmore Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Plenty of support from stable followers has seen the Gai Waterhouse trained Flamboyant Lass’s odds firm from an opening price of $12 to be under double figures at $9.
Flamboyant Lass is one of four runners Waterhouse will saddle up in the Group 1 for the three year old fillies and will line up with Speak Fondly ($2.40 favourite), Sempre Libera ($9) and Kimberley Star ($13).
The Stratum filly showed plenty of ability as an early two year old and Waterhouse took her to Melbourne in the Autumn to run in the Group 1 $1m Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield where she finished thirteenth to Pride Of Dubai.
Following a spell Waterhouse sent Flamboyant Lass to the mid-week circuit to get a win on the board and the filly scored a three and a quarter lengths win as favourite in a 1000m BenchMark 70 Handicap on August 26.
Flamboyant Lass was then sent out as the favourite again but found one too strong with Alart beating her by a quarter of a length in the Listed $100,000 Reginald Allen Quality (1400m) at Rosehill on September 26.
Tim Clark has been aboard the filly at her two runs this preparation and gets the nod again this week on the filly who will take up a forward position from barrier four in the eleven horse field.
Flight Stakes favourite and stablemate Speak Fondly will be racing on the pace with Flamboyant Lass after she led the field up in the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on September 12.
Speak Fondly fought on well in the straight but was no match for the John O’Shea trained Exosphere who looked like one out of the box with his two and a quarter lengths win in the Group 1 for the three year olds.
Speak Fondly scored at her first two starts this campaign with a first up all the way win in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 22 followed by a clear cut victory in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on September 5.
Kimberley Star and Sempre Libera head to Randwick on Saturday after finishing third and fourth to Flight Stakes rivals Pearls and Honest in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 19.
