The 2017 Coolmore Classic results will be updated all afternoon at horseracing.com.au and it is sure to be another excellent day of racing.
The Coolmore Classic is the obvious highlight of the card, but there are plenty of interesting betting races spread right across the afternoon!
It is Chris Waller-trained Omei Sword that is currently on top of the 2017 Coolmore Classic betting market with Ladbrokes, but there has also been money for the likes of Guy Walter Stakes winner Dixie Blossoms ($7), two-time Group 1 winning filly Global Glamour ($8) and star kiwi filly La Bella Diosa ($9).
There are a number of short-priced favourites on the Rosehill Gardens card and both Antonio Giuseppe in the Sky High Stakes as well as Foxplay in the Phar Lap Stakes looks very tough to beat.

Race 9 (5:40pm) – $100,000 Tab.Com.Au Handicap Results
Hogmanay led from start to finish to record a narrow victory in the final race at Rosehill Gardens on Coolmore Classic Day.
Hogmanay set a quick tempo in the early stages of the race and he kicked away from his rivals at the top of the straight.
Imported galloper Green Sweet loomed on the outside and looked line the winner at the 100 metre mark, but Hogmanay fought back late to claim victory.

Race 8 (5:00pm) – $200,000 Group 2 Ajax Stakes Results
It’s Somewhat returned to the races with a narrow victory in the 2017 Ajax Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Testashadow and New Tipperay were both gallant in defeat, but the class of It’s Somewhat shone through in the final stages of the race after he received a lovely run into the race on the rail.
John O’Shea was pleased to see It’s Somewhat make a winning return to the races and he revealed that the Doomben Cup is the long-term goal for the Dynaformer gelding.

Race 7 (4:15pm) – $600,000 Group 1 Coolmore Classic Results
Heavens Above stormed home in the final stages to record a maiden Group 1 win in the 2017 Coolmore Classic at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Silent Sedition took up the running at the 200 metre mark and looked as though she would claim victory, but Heavens Above stormed down the outside to claim an outstanding victory.
Tye Angland said after the race that Heavens Above worked hard early, but was still able to let down impressively when she was asked for an extra effort.

Race 6 (3:35pm) – $200,000 Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes Results
It was not an easy watch for favourites that took the short price, but Foxplay returned to winning form with an impressive victory in the 2017 Phar Lap Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Foxplay got a long way back in the early stages of the race and looked in plenty of trouble when she was under heavy riding at the 600 metre mark.
She ran into a number of backsides at the top of the straight and took plenty of time to get balanced, but she eventually found clear running and absolutely flew home late to win the Phar Lap Stakes.

Race 5 (3:00pm) – $350,000 Group 3 Sky High Stakes Results
Australian Derby winner Tavago outstayed his rivals to take out the 2017 Sky High Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Red Excitement took up the running in the early stages of the Sky High Stakes and he ensured that the race would be run at a very genuine tempo as Lasqueti Spirit and odds-on favourite Antonio Giuseppe were left to do the chasing.
Antonio Giuseppe got past Red Excitement, but he ran out of puff in the final 200 metres and Tavago finished over the top of all his rivals to claim an upset victory.

Race 4 (2:25pm) – $175,000 Group 3 Magic Night Stakes Results
Tulip will go into the Golden Slipper as a legitimate contender after taking out the 2017 Magic Night Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
The talented filly finished fourth in the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes, but it was Limbo Soul that went into the Magic Night Stakes as clear favourites.
Limbo Soul was one of the first horses beaten and it was Alizee that was the main danger to Tulip, but the Lindsay Park-trained filly proved too good in the concluding stages.

Race 3 (1:45pm) – $175,000 Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes Results
Single Bullet fought off a gallant Ducimus to win the 2017 Pago Pago Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
The market focused in on Single Bullet and Ducimus before the running of the Pago Pago Stakes and that assessment proved to be correct as the two juveniles fought it out in the final stages.
There was nothing between the two horses at the 100 metre mark, but Single Bullet proved too strong in the final stages and he earnt a place in the Golden Slipper with the win.

Race 2 (1:10pm) – $150,000 Group 3 Maurice McCarten Stakes Results
Artistry flew home from the tail of the field to win the 2017 Maurice McCarten Stakes at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Sam Clipperton had a bit of trouble finding clear running for Artistry in the straight and she had plenty of work to do to catch Dothraki in the final stages.
Dothraki looked as though he had the race shot to beats, but Artistry kept finding in the final 1100 metres to return to the races with an impressive win.

Race 1 (12:30pm) – $100,000 Schweppes Handicap Results
Spectroscope made his Australian racing debut with an impressive win in the Schweppes Handicap at Rosehill Gardens this afternoon.
Jockey William Buick elected to settle Spectroscope at the tail of the field in the early stages of the race and the import was always travelling nicely.
Buick pulled Spectroscope to the outside of the straight in the concluding stages and he proved far too strong to his rivals in the last 150 metres.
Trainer John O’Shea believes that Spectroscope still has plenty of improvement left in him and will have his next race start in the Doncaster Prelude in a fortnight.
