Winx has the chance to record a 23rd straight victory when she contests the Chipping Norton Stakes and the betting market with Ladbrokes suggests that this will be nothing short of a procession for the great mare – she is $1.08 favourite in Chipping Norton Stakes betting.

The Chipping Norton Stakes isn’t the only black-type race on the Royal Randwick card and the Golden Slipper picture will be clearer after the Skyline Stakes and the Sweet Embrace Stakes are contested this afternoon.

The other Group 1 race on the card is the Surround Stakes and it is Godolphin-owned filly Alizee that will start the race as a clear favourite with Ladbrokes following her strong win in the Light Fingers Stakes.

Sign-up and deposit with [ladbrokes] today to secure top odds for the Chipping Norton Stakes, Surround Stakes and every other race at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

Fui San took advantage of an excellent ride from Jason Collett to return to winning form at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

The Authorized gelding had not recorded a race win since July last year, but he improved on his second place finish behind Mate Story last start to record a deserved win.

There was plenty of drama in the Highway Plate – Keymaster was scratched just before the race and It’s A Lottery was pulled out of the race with an injury.

  • 1st – Fui San
  • 2nd – Mister Marmalade
  • 3rd – Celtic Trail

Just Shine made it three wins on the trot with a strong effort in the Tahiti Travel Connection Handicap at Royal Randwick this afternoon to deliver trainer Claire Cunningham her first Saturday winner.

Jason Collett peeled Just Shine to the outside of the track at the top of the straight and it took him a while to wind-up, but he was eventually able to finish over the top of his rivals.

Almost Court started the race as favourite and took up the running in the early stages, but he was run down in the final 150 metres.

  • 1st – Just Shine
  • 2nd – Tamarack
  • 3rd – The Getaway

Santos will head to the 2018 Golden Slipper after he made it two wins on the trot in the Skyline Stakes.

Tim Clark elected to settle Santos just behind the leader in the early stages of the Skyline Stakes, but it took him a while to respond when asked for an extra effort.

Santos looked like a sitting shot as Legend Of Condor and Spin charged at him late, but the Golden Slipper contender was able to hang on for a narrow win.

  • 1st – Santos
  • 2nd – Spin
  • 3rd – Legend Of Condor

Race 4 (2:15pm) – $200,000 Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes Results

Seabrook finished over the top of her rivals to score an eye-catching win in the 2018 Sweet Embrace Stakes at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

Hugh Bowman did not have a great deal of luck in running and Seabrook was caught wide throughout, but she was still able to respond when asked for an extra effort.

Fiesta hit the front at the 200 metre and looked as though she had the race run before Seabrook appeared on the scene at the 100 metre mark.

  • 1st – Seabrook
  • 2nd – Fiesra
  • 3rd – Into The Abyss

Race 5 (2:50pm) – $150,000 Group 3 Liverpool City Cup Results

Crack Me Up returned to the races with an impressive win in the 2018 Liverpool City Cup at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

Crack Me Up won the Villiers Stakes in the Summer, but he was still friendless in betting ahead of the Liverpool City Cup and all the money was for Care To Think.

Care To Think hit the front at the 200 metre mark, bur he was clearly a tired horse and Crack Me Up was able to finish over the top of him late.

  • 1st – Crack Me Up
  • 2nd – Care To Think
  • 3rd – Burning Passion

Race 6 (3:30pm) – $600,000 Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes Results

She is back and better than ever!

Winx went into the Chipping Norton Stakes at her shortest-price ever and it was easy to see why – she was settled at the tail of the field, but took herself to the lead under her own steam before racing away from her rivals late.

The George Ryder Stakes is the next race for Winx before connections decide whether she heads to the Queen Elizabeth Stakes or begins preparations for a trip to Royal Ascot!

  • 1st – Winx
  • 2nd – Prized Icon
  • 3rd – Classic Uniform

Race 7 (4:10pm) – $500,000 Group 1 Surround Stakes Results

Shoals bounced back to her best form to win the 2018 Surround Stakes at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

Shoals failed to fire first-up in the Kevin Hayes Stakes in Melbourne and punters were quick to forget that she won the Myer Classic in the Spring.

Josh Parr settled Shoals just behind the leader in the early stages of the Surround Stakes and she showed an impressive turn-of-foot when asked for an extra effort.

There were a host of horses charging at Shoals late, but she was too tough and held-on to record a second Group 1 win.

  • 1st – Shoals
  • 2nd – Torvill
  • 3rd – Shumookh

Race 8 (4:50pm) – $200,000 Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes Results

Dixie Blossoms returned to the races with an impressive win in the 2018 Guy Walter Stakes at Royal Randwick this afternoon.

Christian Reith was stuck in an awkward position on Dixie Blossoms at the top of the straight and looked as thought she would be blocked for a run, but he was eventually able to get her to the outside.

As soon as she found clear running, she let down impressively and she finished over the top of Raiment to claim a big win.

  • 1st – Dixie Blossoms
  • 2nd – Raiment
  • 3rd – Francaletta

Race 9 (5:30pm) – $100,000 Championship Hospitality Handicap (1200m)
