The Lindsay Park Team of David Hayes and Tom Dabernig were hoping for Dibayani to gain a start in the Group 1 $3m BMW Caulfield Cup (2400m) at Caulfield this weekend but the Irish import was relegated to third emergency when the final field was released on Tuesday.

Hong Kong based jockey Zac Purton takes over from Damian Lane on Dibayani who has drawn the outside barrier in the ten horse field.

The Lindsday Park Team will also saddle up Velox with Craig Williams to ride from barrier nine.

Hayes and Dabernig were building Dibayani’s stamina up with three early Spring Carnival runs with a third over 1400m in the Group 2 $200,000 Back To Caulfield P.B. Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on August 15, a third in the Group 2 $250,000 Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on September 5 and last start ninth to Mourinho in the Group 1 $400,000 Hyland Race Colours Underwood Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield on September 26.

Dibayani will race with several gear changes this Saturday with the off side blinker coming off and a lugging bit and noseroll going back on.

English import Velox showed that he was up to Spring Carnival standard with a last start third to Escado in the Group 3 $200,000 JRA Cup (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 2.

If you fancy either Dibayani or Velox, get over the odds and take advantage of Ladbrokes Caulfield Cup Day Special Offer of Best Tote or SP + 20% on every race at Caulfield this Saturday up to a maximum bet of $50.

The Darren Weir trained Stratum Star looks set to back up week to week and has drawn barrier two.

Stratum Star claimed a Group 1 prize two runs back when he scored a narrow win over Disposition in the $400,000 Anthea Crawford Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 26 and then ran another mighty race when third to stablemate Lucky Hussler in the Group 1 $400,000 David Jones NBCF Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

Group 1 winning mare Fenway was back in the winner’s stall in the Group 2 $200,000 StrathAyr Track Stocks Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on October 2 and has winning jockey Blake Shinn in the saddle again in the David Jones Cup from barrier five.

The step up to 2000m will be perfect for Fenway who won over that distance with Shinn when she stormed home to win the Group 1 $400,000 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill during the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller will saddle up the vastly improved Sadler’s Lake who has drawn barrier seven with Jim Cassidy to ride.

Sadler’s Lake was sent out as one of the chances in the Group 1 $1m The Star 150th Epsom (1600m) at Randwick on October 3 but could only finish ninth to stablemate Winx.

Ladbrokes are also offering a great offer for punters having a bet early in the day on Caulfield Cup Day. If your first fixed odds win bet in races 1 – 5 wins, your will get 50% extra on your winnings on your first winner up to a maximum bet of $50.
