Blake Shinn and Kerrin McEvoy are clear to ride on the weekend

Jockeys Blake Shinn and Kerrin McEvoy have been cleared to take up their important rides in Sydney and Melbourne on the weekend.

Both jockeys sustained injuries from falls at the Rosehill barrier trials on Tuesday and had to forego rides at Wyong and Hawkesbury during the week.

Shinn in set to ride Chipping Norton Stakes favourite Pinker Pinker for the first time as well as Alberton Park for trainer John O’Shea in the Listed Sharp Wigglee Stakes (1400m) and two year old Tududumonde in the Schweppes Plate (1100m) for Gai Waterhouse.

McEvoy has a busy day lined up at Flemington which include rides on the Peter Snowden trained Beaded in the Group 1 $1m Lexus Newmarket Handicap (1200m)  and Illo for Bart Cummings in the Group 1 $1m Dubai Australian Cup (2000m).

Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker has arrived at Warwick Farm and trainer Greg Eurell has reported that the mare has travelled safely and has pulled up well after light exercise.

Pinker Pinker did her final bit of fast work at Cranbourne on Wedensday and trainer Greg Eurell is very happy with her condition.

“I was very, very happy with what she did,” Eurell said.

“Her recovery was good, her fitness levels are nice and all things being equal she’s exactly where I want her to be for this race.”

Jockey Glyn Schofield has had his nine meeting suspension for careless riding reduced to seven on appeal.

Schofield was suspended by Racing New South Wales Stewards for interference he caused on Manawanui in the Group 2 $200,000 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill last Saturday.

Stewards found that Schofield hampered second past the post Wild And Proud who was promoted to first place after Nash Rawiller’s objection was upheld.
