Godolphin’s head trainer James Cummings already had three of the top four two year olds in the betting at Ladbrokes.com.au for the 2019 Group 1 $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on March 23.

The Chris Waller trained Yes Yes Yes took over favouritism at $6 after winning the Group 2 $300,000 UNSW Todman Stakes (1200m) at Randwick last Saturday but Cummings has the next three in the betting, Reisling Stakes winner Tenley at $6.50, Skyline Stakes winner Microphone at $7.50 and Magic Millions 2yo Classic winner Exhilarates at $9.

Lonhro filly Pin Sec now finds herself as a $15 chance for the Golden Slipper following her win the Group 3 $300,000 John McGrath Auto Group Black Opal Stakes (1200m) at Canberra last Sunday.

“She’s a lovely, strong, progressive filly… once she got into the open spaces she really let go,” stable spokesman Darren Beadman said.

“It’s a tribute to everyone from the breakers to the stable staff, right the way through.”

“James has really got his head around the two-year-olds, the placement of them, everything.”

Pin Sec has only had two race starts and made remarkable improvement on her narrow debut win at Randwick in December with a dominant four lengths victory in the Black Opal Stakes.

The Godolphins’ Golden Slipper stocks have been further boosted with trainer Anthony Freedman confirming that Blue Diamond Stakes winner Lyre will head to Sydney for the Golden Slipper.

Lyre stamped her Golden Slipper credentials when she carried the Godolphin royal blue colours to a resounding victory in the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 23.

“Blue Diamond winner Lyre will travel to Sydney on Monday night in preparation for the Group 1 Golden Slipper on March 23. She will trial at Rosehill on Thursday morning. Luke Currie will retain the ride in the Slipper,” Freedman Racing tweeted.

Lyre is also well in contention in the Golden Slipper betting at $10.
