The 2015 Railway Stakes weights have been released and Black Heart Bart is set to carry the top-weight of 58 kilograms.

Black Heart Bart stamped himself as a potential star when he recorded four race wins in impressive fashion in Perth at the start of the year and he finished a credible fourth behind Flamberge in the Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville on May 16, but he did not beat home a runner in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) at Doomben on June 6.
The Blackfriars gelding returned to the races with a win in the Listed Birthday Stakes (1200m) at Belmont Park on October 3 and he scored a narrow victory in the Group 3 Northerly Stakes (1420m) at Ascot on October 21 before he stamped himself as Railway Stakes favourite with his win in the Group 2 Warora-Lee Steere Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on November 7.
History is against Black Heart Bart in the Railway Stakes as Luckygray is the only horse to have carried 58 kilograms to victory in the past 30 years, while no favourite has won the race since El Presidente in 2007.
Disposition and Magic Artist both contested the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m) at Flemington last Saturday and they have been allocated 57 kilograms.
Magic Artist narrowly missed the placings in both the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) and the Emirates Stakes, while Disposition has not raced in Perth since she finished a close second behind Moriarty in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot on December 6.
Australian Cup placegetter Extra Zero is likely to make the trip to Perth for both the Railway Stakes and the Kingstown Town Classic and he has been allocated 55.5 kilograms, while unlikely runner Messene was given 56.5 kilograms.
Delicacy, Fuchsia Bandana, Real Love, Red Excitement and Wink And A Nod will all carry 54 kilograms if they contest the Group 1 event.
Australasian Oaks winner Delicacy returned to the races with a third place finish behind Black Heart Bart in the Warora-Lee Steere Stakes and Wink And A Nod and Fuchsia Bandana missed the placings in the same race, while Real Love took out the Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on October 31.
The 2015 Railway Stakes nominations are rounded out by Abidewithme, Awesome Rock, Balmont Girl, Bass Strait, Battle Hero, Bedamijo, Dancing Express, Dawn Approach, Good Project, Hazzabeel, Kourkam, Mirage, Miss Rose De Lago, Mr Utopia, My Sister Lil, Palace Intruder, Properantes, Pyrrolic, Rommel, Royal Rada, Spacecraft, Special Deliver, Tower Of Lonhro and Ulmann and they have all been allocated the limit weight of 53 kilograms.
