Blake Shinn has held the reins at Super Too’s last two starts that resulted in a win in a 1000m BenchMark 84 Handicap at Randwick on August 19 followed by a win in $120,000 Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 1 (BenchMark 84 Handicap) over 955m at The Valley on September 29.

Shinn was unable to make the mare’s Caulfield Sprint weight of 53kg allowing Costin to be re-united with her after the pair combined for two wins early in Super Too’s career.

“Blake can’t make the weight. Winona Costin is going to go down and ride her. Winona has had a couple of wins on her and she knows her like the back of her hand,” trainer Marc Conners told Sky Sports Radio.

“I wanted someone on her that knew her and could ride the weight easy.”

Conners said that Super Too had come through her dazzling all the way win at The Valley in fine style and is now ready to step up in grade and be tested at Group 2 level.

“Very happy with her,” Conners said.

“She came through that run in great order and ready to back up now.”

“It’s been just over three weeks, enough time to bring her home to her own back yard and go back and do the same again hopefully.”

“It is a big step up in class from her last start. Last start was a benchmark 84 and we are heading to a Group 2 now.”

“We are under the impression now that she has come up with two really strong wins so we are going to test her in that next grade now.”

“There are probably not a lot of good 1000m races and this is one of them so we are going to take our chance and see if she can beat them again.”

“She is a very smart mare and those short distances she is extremely hard to beat all of the time.”

“She has just got a great early speed and mid race speed which really puts a bit of pressure into the race.”

Super Too has drawn barrier three in the Caulfield Sprint that has been reduced to nine runners following the early scratching of the Richard Jolly trained Karacatis who is engaged to run in the $50,000 Burke Urban Flying Handicap (1000m) at Murray Bridge on Friday.

Early betting for the Caulfield Sprint on Caulfield Cup Day at Ladbrokes.com.au has Super Too as one of the top fancies at $4.80 behind last start Caulfield winner Snitty Kitty at $3.80 and the well performed Robert Smerdon trained three year old Property at $4.40.
