Good Project pulled up lame after a gallop at Ascot last Wednesday but responded to treatment quickly to please the stable in a solid hit out on Saturday morning and will join stablemates Mackintosh and Vanbrugh in the last Group 1 for 2016.

“He galloped well on Saturday morning,” Waller’s racing manager Charlie Duckworth told the West Australian.

“There are no problems with him, so he’s all set to go.”

Good Project finished a gallant second to Scales Of Justice in the Group 1 $1m James Boag’s Premium Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on November 19 when he was trying to defend his title after scoring a dominant win last year.

“His run (in the Railway) was super and it hopefully enhanced his value (as a stallion prospect),” Duckworth said.

As well as being happy with the condition of Good Project, Duckworth said that Mackintosh and Vanbrugh will also be turned out in fine order.

“The other two are ticking along nicely and are ready to go on Saturday,” Duckworth said.

Hugh Bowman will again be on Good Project in the Kingston Town Classic while Damien Oliver has retained the mount on Mackintosh after the pair finished fourth in the Railway Stakes.

Ben Melham has been booked to ride Vanbrugh after partnering him in his last two Spring Carnival outings for a win in the Group 3 $150,000 Priceline Pharmacy Coogny Cup (2000m) at Caulfield on October 15 followed by a sixth to Awesome Rock in the Group 1 $2m Emirates Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on November 5, the last day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
