The official start of the Autumn Racing Carnival is just around the corner and 2017 Chairman’s Stakes Day at Caulfield this afternoon is set to be a crucial guide to some of the biggest race of the Carnival.

It is perfect weather in Melbourne this afternoon and the glorious state of the Caulfield track has ensured that scratchings will play very little role in the Chairman’s Stakes Card this afternoon.
The Caulfield track is currently rated as a Good 4, but the hot weather suggests that this could be upgraded later this afternoon.
